TAGGIES™ EXPANDS TO AUSTRALIA AND NEW ZEALAND!
“Have you ever noticed how babies
are often more interested in the tag on the blanket than the
actual blanket? Two enterprising moms did, and then created
a product line that babies love.” – ePregnancy

SPENCER, Mass. (March 24) – Acclaimed children’s manufacturer
Taggies, Inc. continues its expansion in world markets and announces
that, in addition to the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom,
and Ireland, TAGGIES products are now available
in Australia and New Zealand. Sydney,
Australia-based Baby Brands will serve as exclusive
distributor of TAGGIES products throughout Australia
and New Zealand.
Notes TAGGIES co-founder/co-owner Danielle
Ayotte, “We are so excited to be working with
the very experienced Baby Brands team! For months,
we have been inundated with hundreds of product requests from
caregivers in Australia and New Zealand. This month, we are thrilled
to announce this new partnership which will ensure the expansion
of the TAGGIES family once again, putting TAGGIES into
the hands of these babies and kids!”
Says Baby Brands managing director Dani
Harpaz, “TAGGIES has brought
a new dimension to our mix of products. TAGGIES makes
sense — every mum and grandmother has a 'Taggie story' — it
is self-explanatory and almost sells itself. The colors,
fabrics, quality, presentation and item variety make the brand
one-of-a-kind in its category. We are excited to represent such
a line and look forward to sharing it with our ultimate consumers
- Australian and New Zealander babies.”
TAGGIES came into being six years ago when
new mom and early-childhood educator Julie Dix observed
that her baby was fascinated by the tags on toys and blankets and
derived comfort from rubbing the satin edges of tags. She
then teamed up with fellow mom Danielle Ayotte to
create colorful fleece blankets edged all around with small, satiny
tags. The company’s patented product line has expanded
in the past six years to include soft balls, rattles, infant booties,
plush items, travel toys, crib sets, books (created with Scholastic,
Inc.) and several sizes of blankets, all brightly colored and adorned
with plenty of the small, smooth tags that soothe little ones like
nothing else.
TAGGIES products are sold at more than 4,500
independent specialty shops in the United States, Canada, the United
Kingdom, Ireland, Australia, and New Zealand, and through more
than a dozen catalogs, including RedEnvelope and Lillian Vernon. “My
First TAGGIES Book: Sweet Dreams,” “My First TAGGIES
Book: I Love You,” and “My First TAGGIES Book: Princess” are
sold at Wal-Mart, Target, Borders, Barnes & Noble and other
mass marketers. TAGGIES products may also
be ordered online at www.taggies.com and by phone at 1-877-4-TAGGIE.
